Making it Work (Early Childhood)

Making it Work (Early Childhood)

Suitable for early childhood educators, childcare workers, kindergarten aides, and ABA therapists working in an early childhood setting.

Whether you’re supporting children with autism, or teaching neuro-typical children, you can make it work better in your classroom with the Making it Work PD.

Focusing on behavioural methodologies, these sessions provide educators with an introductory knowledge of the theory of autism and ABA. You’ll get a better understanding of why challenging behaviours occur and how to respond to them. Participants will come away with behaviour management strategies and new skills that will help children adapt and develop social skills.

The Making it Work series is APST-aligned. These courses build teachers’ capacity to teach learners with disability. Completion of any our Making it Work Courses will entitle you to receive PD points toward your annual 20-hour VIT PD requirement.

If you would like to organise this training onsite at your school or kindergarten, email info@abia.net.au for a no-cost quotation.

A minimum of 10 people are required for onsite training. Discounts apply for 10+.
