ABIA offers both face-to-face & online ABA training programs. ABA Therapist Training & Making it Work as an ABA Therapist are introductory ABA courses that will impart the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required to work as an Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapist. The ABA Therapist Training course runs over 3 days at our Canterbury office and the online training, Making it Work as an ABA Therapist, comprises of 20 modules (27 hrs of training) with 60 days to complete.
Both types of training are suitable for anyone interested in working as an ABA Therapist or for families embarking on an ABA program with their child. It is also suitable for allied health professionals or anyone wanting to retrain or take their career in a new or different direction. The training is also suitable for primary school and early childhood educators wanting to better understand behavioural principles & strategies to enhance their work practices and better support children in their care.
**Note: Training content and video examples are set in the home and geared towards early intervention. Skills learnt in this course can be transferred to the early educational settings.
